Oh yea, the ship has sailed. I enjoyed this episode and arc overall, it was much needed growth for Lawrence. He has had difficulty with understanding what he feels for Holo and this arc finally allows him to be honest and realize what he feels for her. Great, however! I cannot agree with all of Holo’s actions. Of course, Lawrence does share some blame here, but Holo did make some questionable decisions. She never meant to betray Lawrence and instead was helping him in her own way, but I believe a simple, “I’m mad at you but will help you win this duel.” would have been enough for the two to avoid unnecessary stress and drama. She could have still pushed him to reveal or understand his own emotions by pushing him with her wise tongue, but the two allowed their own egos to get in the way of things. While I can’t agree with all her actions, I like how real this is. Relationships aren’t perfect and neither are people, I do not expect them to be in stories either. As frustrating as some of this was, I enjoyed the fact that this is something that is very common: weak communication. With this arc, I hope their communication will improve, and if it does then I will see this as the most important arc of the show so far. Good job, this is what makes a good arc. Conflict and good writing, but the results must remain. Of course, I am confident that they will.
