Anime Fall 2024 Weekly Ranking December 27th To January 2nd
These rankings are as of the episodes premiering December 27th to January 2nd.
Last week of the season ends with some absolutely thrilling episodes, can’t wait for next season!
S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. Bleach. Ep. 13 - 14. FINAL
Oh yea, I’m super excited the fourth cour as this cour was the best yet. So many awesome fights and bankai, some great lore, some great music, and did I mention the cool fights?! Surprisingly, very little from Ichigo but what we do get is so good that it doesn’t bother me. The ending sets up some cool fights for the next cour to pick right up and as the final cour, I believe so at least, I hope it will continue to be as good as everything else has been.
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
2. Demon Lord 2099. Ep. 12. FINAL
I picked this up because I am a huge fan of Sci-fi, and man did this not disappoint as it is one of my favorites from the season. Veltol is a great character and a delight to watch. In this episode we get some more nice reveals such as Meldia’s apologies and Hijiki’s decision. Seeing Gram and Veltol team up again was also a lot of fun, though my favorite part of the episode is the amount of trash talk Veltol and Meldia threw at each other. We also have some set up reveals which I hope means this may get a season two which I would love to see.
4. Blue Lock. Ep. 13-14. FINAL
My god, what a way to finish the season. I’m having a hard time deciding what I liked best; Rin losing it, Isagi’s insane goal, Ego feeling the hype, just everything about these last two episodes was 10/10. Now, I see many people asking why can’t we get an entire season of this, animation that, and whatever else. All in all, I enjoyed this anime very much. Even with the less than good animation, apart from the last two episodes, the anime excelled and what it needed to be, a fun anime with tons of hype. Cannot believe how much fun I had watching this, realizing that Isagi was about to score may be one of the highlights of the entire season. Overall, not bad, those last two episodes are fantastic. 7.8/10
6. Blue Box. Ep. 14
A fantastic episode switching between Chinatsu’s and Hina’s battle. Chinatsu gave it her and it breaks my heart that it didn’t work out but I admire Hina for gathering the courage it takes to confess. As of this episode, I stand firmly with the belief of Hina best girl, but man if it didn’t break my heart to see Chinatsu at the end. I look forward to the rest of the anime in the new season, but I must wonder if Chinatsu will ever decide to play the game as well.
3. Dragon Ball DAIMA. Ep. 12
What a time to be alive! I can’t believe I’m saying this, Vegeta has gone super sayain 3! Now coniically, we’ve seen him go even further beyond, but for some reason we’ve never seen him do this in canon. Seeinghim do so, then just become an arrogant beast is just so good to see. Vegeta gets a lot of love from the community and rightfully so, seeing him do this just feels great. A win for Vegeta, is a win for the community and I couldn’t be happier to witness it.
5. Shangri La Frontier. Ep. 12
Oh yea! Let the fight begin and… is that a robot bird? I find it funny that Sunraku finds a what is a probably a very powerful robot and decides to just make it flap clouds away. We need to get the attack master deal their strongest blow but it’s a lot harder said than done. Now! I really want Sunraku and Rei can solo it. There is a newcomer on the way but it woudn’t feel as hype then. Nothing against the new character, but I see no reason to add them now.

C: It’s ok/Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you not watch for various issues.
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
