These rankings are as of the episodes premiering December 12 to December 19th
S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. DAN DA DAN. Ep. 12
No more dan da dan until july
:(. Overall this was very enjoyable, from the weirdness of it all to the absolutely fantastic story and animation. The main duo are the stars and I enjoy their relationship though I hope it develops even more in the coming season. Very move looking forward to the next season, this is a solid 9/10. Now, I hear many calling it anime of the year and I disagree, I wouldn’t put it over anime like Neir which are just surreal anime.
2. Bleach. Ep. 11
Another episode I can call one of my favorites, nice! This episode was an awesome look into Shunsui into just a person, the burden he carries even when coming across as a guy without a care in the world. As for Nanao, the lore of her family is awesome and saddening. The sword that reflects gods light is such an cool weapon and using it to defeat one with such power was cool to watch, but this does mean the duo are likely out of commission. Up next, I’m not sure, but it doesn’t matter as the fights are incredible.
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
3. Demon Lord 2099. Ep. 10
Veltol doujinshi, Machina is truly one of us. Veltol’s personality only becomes more likable by the second, sings along with the maid chant, but is also unafraid to to exclaim that he is back with the purpose to rule the world. I do worry for Hizuki, the voices she hears, and she may also be the key to the regalia she searches for. I wonder if the principal truly cares for her, I hope she does. If not, that could be heart breaking as Hizuki already with social interaction and trusting others. Whatever the case, I’m sure Veltol will find a way to help her. Oh and, that final scene, let’s hope Machina doesn’t find out.
5.
Negative Positive Angler. Ep. 12 FINAL
A nice final episode for probably the comfiest show of the season. Very glad Tsunehiro and Takaaki made up and that both decided to face their fears in life, this seems to have saved Tsunehiro’s life as well. I enjoy the message of this show, though very difficult, finding the strength to face fears and problems we have is vital to moving forward in life. Overall, very nice, though it broke my heart to know that Ice and Arua are no longer with us. 7/10, Ice please cosplay Albedo again.
7. Rurouni Kenshin. Ep. 12
Seem Aoshi is hell bent on chasing Kenshin, but this also means he will have to face Okina. Although old, I’m sure Okina is more than skilled enough to give anyone a decent fight though tactics, but it will still hurt to see them fight. Now, I need more from Kenshin and Kaoru but that is to come.
4. Ranma 1/2. Ep. 11
Akane, Nooooo! I’m torn now, I really like Shampoo’s design but man hurting Akane is a cardinal sin. As for the amnesia arc, no one can complain about this time hahahaha! This is an OG anime so a lot of the ideas were new back in the day, sit back and enjoy as I’m sure this arc will be nice.
6. Dragon Ball DAIMA. Ep. 10
A new majin! I already like both of their fighting styles, both are so unorthodox and just look like they are trying their best to fight with very little knowledge of actual combat. We also get to see Vegeta which is a big plus for this episode, of course he isn’t anywhere near full strength so I expect him to show more next week.
8. Shangri La Frontier
Oh man, the arrival of Lycagon was unexpected. One of my favorite parts of this anime is the secret boss design, Lycagon is up there in design as well as they just appear incredibly fearsome. Although, I highly doubt SF-Zoo can beat them. I wonder what Sunraku will decide to do, we’ll find out next week.
B: Good/Solid
9. If My Wife Became an Elementary School Student. Ep. 12 FINAL
For a while what I felt this anime was missing was a final heart to heart between Keisuke and Takae, incredibly glad we got that in the end and it was just right. Now, do I have an issue with Keisuke not actually marrying Moriya? Kind of. At the end of the day, moving on doesn’t mean finding someone new, it meands accepting and moving forward. So I commend Keisuke, because he did just that and allowed his beloved wife to move on. Not bad, I’m glad I picked this up. 8/10
11. 2.5 Dimensional Seduction. Ep. 24 FINAL
Mikari best girl, forever and ever. I enjoyed this last episode and the much needed development for Okumura and realizing that he does exist for others as well. I’m sure he has some ways to go before he can fully trust woman, but I look forward to seeing more progression and being absolutely furious because endgame is basically confirmed. That’s right, season 2 is confirmed and I look forward to it. 7.5/10
10. Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii. Ep. 11
I like Shoma better, just saying. Kirishima seems to be more obsessed with Yoshino instead of actually loving her, while Shoma at the end of the day will care for her even if she isn’t his ideal woman at a certain point. Yoshino’s grandpa is also as badass as I thought he was, nothing could go on in Osaka without him knowing and he let it be known as well. As for endgame, it’s probably Kirishima. How will they make that work? I'm not sure.
12. Blue Lock. Ep. 11
Someone put that man on a list! Shidou is something else, as just a striker he might be the most dangerous person on the field. Also loved Isagi’s response, what comes next doesn’t matter it’s now that they want. Losing, even after their great display, will be something they hold forever. That’s ego, and with the king on the field it’s time they show off just what they’re made of.
C: It’s ok/Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you not watch for various issues.
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
