Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3

1. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3. Ep.14

Isekai Reincarnation

SUMMARY

We've seen how bad things can go, how will Rudy avoid such a future.

His reaction to what he has read is what I expected, though he is still lucky enough to have Sylphie at his side. Now more than ever, Rudy wants to be a better person. He fails to hide the trauma of a horrific future, both his wives take note and prepare to help whenever he needs.

Although it hunts him, he must remember the advice he received. The first to start with, a letter to Eris. It may be the most complicated matter given his feelings for Eris and the discussion he will need to have with Sylphie and Roxy.

And so, the discussion comes. I don't think he should have lied, even as hard as it would to believe who gave him the warning of the future. Sylphie is concerned after about Eris, not because of another wife appearing, but because of how she affected Rudy. That's just like Sylphie of course, but Rudy has come to an understanding of Eris's actions after reading the diary. Despite her worry, Roxy gives the best advice on the matter. We must bring Eris to the wives!

AHHHHH MAN. So he appears again. I was really looking forward to seeing if the man god would appear again. Before that, my one gripe with the advice was Oldeus's advice for the man god. I was sure the man god would be watching, did hear everything as well? Rudy does surprise me as well, his level headedness is a necessity that I would fail to replicate. Still, we can't trust the man god. We get the best look into the man god here; his reason for going after Rudy and his family, a bit of his power, and even some stuff on his beef with Orsted. He won't give up, but is the option he gave Rudy even a possibility? If it means saving his family, he is willing to do what he can.

Alright pause. I am disappointed in Rudy here. Or am I? He's still trusting of Man God, or perhaps I'm wrong and that makes me like this much more when I think about it. It's not the trust, but the fear of losing his family. It steers him on a path of a near impossible task, but he has help on the way.

10/10, I need part two now, what a wonderful season.

2. Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4. Ep.19

Drama Fantasy Suspense

SUMMARY

Last episode.

Emilia continues to impress this and last season. I don't remember her being this strong, but her willingness to face a giant dragon is nothing short of admirable. The question remains, can she win?

She'll give it her best shot and put up a valiant effort, but it's the arrival of some back up that give her a chance to hit a weak spot. The hit gives Emilia the chance to reach the summit and make her request, it's time for Subaru to succeed as well.

After a desperate struggle, Shaula is subdued. Her body fades, returning her to her old form an impossible task it seems even for Subaru who has no answer. All hope is not lost however, a mini Shaula scorpion appears!

With all the fighting done, we get some good news. Memory of Emilia has returned, but the others remain unknown. Julius has captured one of the bodies of Gluttony hoping to question them, and somehow this isn't the only piece of Gluttony we are bringing with us.

You'd think Rei appearing would be the biggest surprise, but Satella had to make an appearance as well. Sike, we have an even bigger surprise. Rem is back! Sort of, she returns with no memory and we're left with a cliffhanger that hurts! Where are these two? Where is everyone else? When is the next season?

9/10.

I have my issues with the conclusions of the stories here. Mostly with Shaula. It just doesn't land as much as I would like. We still don't' know the relationship between her and Subaru, only that of which she tells us and how much she loves the guy, but it seems impossible from our knowledge. As such, it's difficult to feel for the conclusion that would have been very good were we given a concrete backstory between the two. It won't help to reveal it in the future, we've moved on by then.

I also don't like this cliffhanger, I think it is a poor choice especially since it is a season finale episode. It leaves to much in the dark, it leaves us with very little answers. Finale's can do so, setting up a lot like Mushoku Tensei just did, but the set up must be definitive, not a lack of what to see and what is to come.

A: Very Good

Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2

3. Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2. Ep.1

Action Adventure Fantasy

SUMMARY

Like Skeleton knight, this is an anime I thought we may never see again though for different reasons. The second season for this was announced pretty soon after the finale of the first, and then we waited forever. Seeing it return is cool, I'm always happy when deserving anime continue, and this is a watch I hoped to see more of.

This episode gives a fast start in the return with Fran vs a powerful skeleton knight in the middle of the sky. I thoroughly enjoyed the opening scenes, from animation to thought of what could be on the island, and Fran's deadpan remarks to almost everything.

The journey to the sky island won't end any time soon. A meeting with a necromancer named Jean ends with the request to conquer said island, and they're soon off to the island via skeleton dragon.

The journey to the island is no easier on the back of the skeleton wyvern Andy. The valiant undead sacrifices itself to get the team to the land and is put to rest with some lovely words from his summoner. I felt more for this wyvern than for Shaula, sorry guys. Moving on!

Good animation, good jokes, and more to look forward as the dungeon awaits the adventurers that have just landed. A pretty good return for this anime.

8.5/10, welcome back
