July 3, 2026
Ranking for anime episodes released July 3, 2026 to July 9, 2026
Start of a new season, a lot of anime I look forward to.
S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3. Ep.1
SUMMARY
Review of episode 1 and 2.
And so, my favorite anime returns. Despite the controversies around it, I have nothing but admiration for the story telling, character development, world building, the animation, and much more. This anime is amazing.
Now then, since we start with Eris here, I'd like to say a word before continuing. How they handle the reunion could make or break the story for me. We have always understood why she left, but Rudeus doesn't. I hope they handle it well. Now then, welcome back, Mushoku Tensei.
Eris leaves with Ghislaine to train herself. She beleives herself unworthy of Rudeus as she is, and seeks training from the man with the level of sword god.
As much as I loved season 2, I can't;t believe I forgot how much I love Eris. This is someone who has fought to survive. Seeing her brutalize students at the dojo was insane, but her ability and experince also let her know what she faces when approached by the sword god. Eris is good, but she still has a long way to go.
Pure stubborness and grit keep Eris hard at work from the day she arrives. Well, there is also some trauma of her defeat to Orsted that keeps her at it. All combined, the mad dog grows before our eyes. Her training does anger Ghislaine, but all is with purpose. To beat an engima like Orsted, Eris must learn more than one style of sword.
Episode one is a quick reminder as to why I hold this anime in such high regard. Stellar animation, stellar sound, stellar writing as we see Eris desperatly search for strength and we even get to use the other styles. Eris could become truly dangerous like this, and boy do I look forward to it. Episode 2 now!
Oh boy, it's been a while since I heard the name quagmire Rudeus. Using the matrimonial challenge to investigate him was great. It's a moment anyone would think he is something beyond belief, and it even inspires Nina to start training as Eris does.
Learning with the water style king gives Eris some ideas on how to improve. As to whether she will take this advice is yet to be seen, she's more interested in getting her own jacket like that Ghislaine wears. To do so she must hunt monsters; something we know the mad dog is more than capable of.
Epsiode 2 is just as good as the first. Animation remains consistent and good, watching Eris train is awesome, and we even get to see Rudeus. The scene of Eris landing her strike after smiling was senational. The strike is great, but having them animate from the point of view of the one being struck, making the vision hazy from the imapct; good lord this may be an all timer season if we continue down this path.
10/10, Finally.
2. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3. Ep.1
SUMMARY
This season I am blesded with two of my favorites. I've been reading 100 Kanojo since it had 6 chapters. It's been one of my favorites ever since and seeing it get a season 3 is awesome.
The start of this episode was an interesting twist by revealing some of the new girls for the interview chapter. I do hope we still get their reveal episodes, but this manga has never been scared to do what it wants, even if makes zero sense.
With that said, the interviews are all about why Rentaro is the goat. There is no limit to how far he will go for his girls, and the girls are just as good. We get to see their personalities shine even if for a moment, and end with the man himself.
For those wondering how this happened, well, remember that season 1 and 2 had a lot fun moments purely by the whim of those working on it. From episode one, the line 'Bet you didn't know that one' let us know that the team is here to have fun and we've gotten some awesome stuff because of it.
Now, let's meet the first new girl of the season officially.
Ahhhh Chiyo. Perhaps to this day the most controversial of the girls. Many forgot that this a comedy manga at heart when it comes to her, and my two cents is that she is a sweetheart.
Without her mother, Chiyo has taken a responsibility that is too great for anyone as young as her. I'm glad she'll have someone as caring as Rentaro, just listen to him speaking about love.
What a guy. Welcome to the family Chiyo.
9/10, Rentaro buns
3. Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Ep.13
SUMMARY
Back to the attack on Higashi village. It's a slaughter as many who can't see daemons are unable to see the sword striking them. In this case, even if they could, most don't stand a chance. The only one with a chance is fake Asa.
The target of this attack was fake Asa herself, a daemon disguising herself as a much younger Asa. As Asa and another girl of the village are captured, Danji of the village leaves to find Yuru with some help of a legendary daemon.
It's hard to miss Left and Right, but even those two have they're work cut out for them with all that targets Yuru and his power. The Shaman's death brings a message, will it reach them?
8.9/10, Killing Lady and Gentleman was too far
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
B: Good/Solid
4. Skeleton Knight in Another World II. Ep.1
SUMMARY
Now this is an anime I never thought I would see again. I remember season 1 for the incredible opening, and some fun episodes. Although the era of many anime getting another season was coming to during this anime's first season, I still never thought I would see it again.
It's been a while, but I remember really liking Arc, and how goofy they make his skeleton look at times. Arc in the hot spring is just what I mean, the guy is just super likable, which makes the towns people being afraid of him all the more surprising.
We're getting a return from timeskip in One Piece episode, there are impersonators afoot. While the cosplay outfits are decent, the difference in skill is insurmountable. The team is able to save the other captives, but fall into a pit of Goblins as they chase the ring leader.
Someone call Goblin Slayer! Well, Arc is more overpowered than he realizes. Taking out Goblins is easy for him, but this leaves the team with questions about how poeple are controlling hordes of monsters. Do we have our big bad of the season?
7/10, a surprising return
5. The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects. Ep.1
SUMMARY
Will this be my slop of the season?
Dias seems like a nice enough person, but it is the encounter with Alna that gives him some hope in his new domain before giving up all together. Were it not for his own foolish honesty, Dias would be in trouble as the Onikin he has found are enemies of the one he once served.
It's time for Dias to learn how to live amongst the Onikin with help from Alna. He's lacking a lot that is needed of a lord, but strength he has in abundance. What he does lack in Alna can help with. She has an understanding of what it will take to build in the domain, and magic that will help Dias where he lacks.
The first use of this, searching for monsters. Given how much Dias is missing upstairs, his fighting style revolves around just swinging his axe. Good enough for me, there are few weapons as cool as a giant axe, and Dias might be the best alive with it.
7/10, spoiling in the children in the ending is crazy
C: It's ok/ Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you watch for various issues.
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
