Anime Spring 2026 Weekly Ranking June 26th to July 2nd
June 26, 2026
Ranking for anime episodes released June 26, 2026 to July 2, 2026
The last week of the spring season. Some of my all time favorite anime are coming next season, I'll do much better in keeping up. And, who knows, maybe even make a blog post!
S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
1. I Want to End this Love Game. Ep.12
SUMMARY
And so, my green flags end in a great space. Is the love game over? By technicality? Wait, how does one win again?
Whatever the case may be, Miku and Yukiya are one of my favorite couples in recent times. Him saying he wouldn't mind a family with Miku was the cherry on top of all the sweetness between these two. Of course, Miku won't allow him to make such declarations without taking the right steps. Will he? In time. For today, hearing the dear words from them both made my heart flutter.
I love these two. The roadblocks they faced are behind them, and I love how healthy their relationship has been, and how healthy it is now. Can we get their wedding animated please?
9/10, green flag, green flag
2. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. Ep.12
SUMMARY
After a great fight, I must say that I am not a fan of separating Will and Elfaria. What was the point?
Joining Elfaria in the tower has been Will's goal since the start of the series, and something that has helped him survive and empower himself already. So, saying that he is joining the lightning goons to improve makes little sense to me. At best you can say that the close range fighting is to his benefit, but he has great mastery of this already. Learning more of magic, learning more in general will be done just as well if not better with Elfaria. As such, this decision just seems like a desperate way to keep Will's current motivation when he could just as easily be motived by the fact that he now stands at Elfaria's side and that it comes with a big responsibility.
I'll give props for being mature about the separation. Yet, the meeting makes it even worse for me. It doesn't have to be the end goal. Meeting one goal is not the end of it all. You can easily continue forward understanding that many don't accept and continue improving to protect yourself and the one you love. It doesn't have to be away from Elfaria, you can remember and walk the paths of magic alongside her. Mmmmm, yea na, the decision soured the entire season for me.
7/10, would be lower but seeing the love birds together was nice at lest.
B: Good/Solid
C: It's ok/ Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
3. Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3. Ep.12
SUMMARY
This anime lost me halfway through. The novelty of it has always been fun, but I still need more. Boxxo talking would have done it. We get full on conversation, but it never happened. If not, then something cooler than just more vending machines would have been nice.
My disappointment only increases with the field man episode. This guy has a two forms of full communication and Boxxo gets his speech pieces.
Now then, the last episode is fun despite the issues. Shadow clone jutsu was a nice surprise, the age old saying is if you can't beat your opponent then just jump them.
After a long struggle, Boxxo and Lammis defeat the Netherlord in a pretty neat animated scene. The final punch from Lammis was great, and we get a classic laying down scene to end it all as friends join the heroes.
What's left for Boxxo after this? It seems exploring more dungeons is on the list, will this get another season? RAG just got its sixth announced, expect anything.
6/10, its cool 8/10 for the ending
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you watch for various issues.
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
4. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4. Ep.12
SUMMARY
After a villain that did nothing, and defeating a calamity bringing dragon with ease, what is next for the slime? Some kingdom building.
I won't flame slime for going around and looking at his kingdom developing. He's got some good people under him, if only they knew that they could sit around doing nothing and still win. Raphael would make stone workers or something.
Ummm, tempest made a train and Milim's dragon got a goofy downgrade. But bump all that, the most disrespectful line in the entire series just appeared.
We'll still face lots of challenges. WE'LL STILL FACE LOT OF CHALLENGES? What challenges? Everything always goes right for slime. Not a single thing has ended with them in a even a slightly worse state. In other words, YOU HAVE FACED NO CHALLENGES! These are minor inconveniences at best.
2/10, I have no desire to watch this anymore.
5. Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 5. Ep.12
SUMMARY
After a season of torture, do we end on a high note? Of course we don't.
Kazuya and Chizuru meet for some more grandstanding on each other. Chizuru is unwilling to be honest, Kazuya is unwilling to stand up for himself and instead drives straight into a drunken mess. He was already bottom of the barrel, I'm sure this will make him attractive.
And so the two end up living together. Nothing really happens for another 100 chapters after this.
I think... I think I'm finally done with this hate watch. There was something cathartic about Kazuya being cucked. A victory from understanding that he has always been as pathetic as I believed. After this, however, it is far more depressing.
0/10, Goodbye Rent A Girlfriend.
