Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun. Ep.8
SUMMARY
It' s difficult to ignore the similarities between Aoteru and Ohga. Both are driven by the death of a loved one, their paths only differing by coordinates, and intent. Aoteru wants to create a united world and destroy corruption through reform, while Ohga, from my point of view, will do so by force. Right and wrong matters little when in battle, my only hope is to see these two clash.
While I have hope that it will happen, the unavoidable clash is Ohga vs Ryumon. Sei forces continue their advance within Yamato, even managing to claim enough area to cut off the Yamato forces coming back from Kanazawa. Their movements leave Yamato in a bind as their troops are cutoff from supplies, Kaku and Ryumon are placing their bets on seeds they have planted. Yet, all requires time, and Ryumon means to buy more by any means, even his life.
And so, Ryumon and Ohga meet. Ryumon sits on the bridge making tea, an act so simple that Ohga still moves with extreme caution even with her bow aimed at her defenseless foe. Ryumon, struck by an arrow, engulfed in flames never loses composure. An unbelievable sight, but one that is enough to force the Sei forces back. What a scene man.
10/10, I love this episode so much. What it has set for the coming episodes is superb, not only is it time for Aoteru to act, but creating doubt in Ohga's leadership is just the cherry on top for this incredible anime.
2. Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4. Ep.8
SUMMARY
Re Isekai? I think the girls should be making a bigger deal of Subaru losing his memories, especially given where they are and the task at hand. The others are the same here, with only Ram expressing an issue about Subaru's current condition, for the time being at least. We get a great scene from Ram; Subaru was the only one to remember Rem so losing his memories could wipe out any trace of her existence.
After some good eats, Subaru gets to experience his first return from dead after memory loss. He believes it a dream and follows it to the point he returned from, though avoiding the death here only brings some difficult words to digest as he overhears words of hesitation about keeping him with them. He avoids the group, but he's once again sent into an untimely death.
Alright, forgive me for what I'm about to say, but I loved the scene after the second death. I've always respected Subaru for keeping it together, but the reality of such an experience is exactly what we got. The depiction of his insanity and fear were amazing, but I still wonder just how we got to this point and who is the culprit after Subaru.
9.5/10, Shaula's been activated. Also, this is a Subaru upscale, don't question it
3. Witch Hat Atelier. Ep.9
SUMMARY
I hope Richeh punches Agott in the throat for us all. For now, we focus on the tests that must be taken by witches. Each is a different challenge and we've already seen one taken by Coco, I'd imagine the rest share a similar difficulty. For Coco, she will have to pass all of them to challenge the tower in time, though we have a long way to go before then. Hit it Eve!
As nightmares fill Coco with guilt, Qifrey continues with his own obsession deep into the night. The brimmed caps have made sure to leave Coco's vial with protection as Qifrey finds out, but I never expected a brimmed cap to show up. What was taken from Qifrey? A lost love? Whatever it may be, even a barrage like he received will not be enough to scare him away.
Coco's kindness will be the driving factor behind the type of magic she creates, at least I hope so. She'll always keep a positive mindset as well, even if she is haunted by her past. By the end of the episode, the poor girl falls ill and is rushed to a doctor. We make it in time, but Qifrey must face a confrontation from Tartah.
9.5/10, love how the author uses the brimmed caps
4. Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Ep.8
SUMMARY
I was just as surprised as Yuru by black and white, what a cool daemon team. They're the perfect team for a mangaka, though I wonder if it has any combat capability. Perhaps we'll learn more in the future, it's time to eat!
Breakfast vibes plummet as Dera is grilled by every one of the Kagemori group. Asa is no fan of him, but Dera doesn't back down as he questions their reason for helping Asa and wanting Yuru. Speaking of Yuru, he makes a declaration of war against anyone after his head, though Asa isn't a fan of his words.
To run and hide or not to. Left and Right are more than happy to live fighting even if Asa is against living such a life. Asa has no choice but to accept Yuru's decision, and the time for them to part has come once more.
Seeing Yuru accept Asa identity at the end was great and made him coming to the Kagemori place worth it. I hope there is a future in which they can live peacefully, but Yuru will have to deal with those after him first. My writing often ends with sad endings, but I'd like the complete opposite for the siblings please!
9.3/10, sibling love is wonderful
9/10, Yuru has made his choice.
5. Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year, First Semester. Ep.12
SUMMARY
The time has come, Tsubasa reveals her identity. Not only does she get Ayanokouji in a secluded area, but she is confident in her ability to hurt him and end his run in this island test.
One on one, two connections to the white room facing off. Ayanokouji has the advantage, though he doesn't connect with his blows to avoid harming Tsubasa. Understanding her limits, Tsubasa tags with the one she seeks revenge for: Matsuo Eiichiro.
I always love when anime that tend to have simple animation go insane for a fight scene. I like to imagine they save most of their time and effort for such things, it's always impressive. It's not as impressive as Ayanokouji's gaslighting however, it's his greatest weapon.
Ayanokouji wins his fight, but the real fight is Kushida vs Ichika! As it turns out, he has a fierce fan. At this point any connection to Ayanokouji is going to lead to hard times as we see another of the boy's victims have a near death incident. Ayanokouji's newest victim is only just getting started in her tenure, I fear what will happen to her.
9/10, another one
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
6. I Want to End this Love Game. Ep.7
SUMMARY
This felt like an episode 12 of a romance anime to me. This could be a great or terrible thing based on how the growth we get in this episode continues to develop, if it does at all. With any luck it will, and I will have been impressed once more by my favorite green flags.
With that said, Yukiya is a feet guy? I knew I liked him! In all seriousness, Miku staying the night at Yukiya's home goes about as one would expect between two lovebirds. The love game never ends, but Miku is affected by how Yukiya has been acting since saying he would do nothing she didn't like. An understandable decision, but one that has left him unsure of what he can do.
Miku will voice her concerns at the end of the night, leaving them to think about how the love game has changed them over the years. Yukiya is grateful for it, but still believes he is not worthy of Miku. So is it time to give up? Absolutely not, the greens flags will only continue to more because the person they love is not someone they can let go.
9/10, I love these two.
7. Digimon Beatbreak. Ep.32
SUMMARY
So that is how Maki got into the business. Seeing her younger days alongside a partner digimon was nice, though it only made what was to come much more painful given the inevitable separation.
On today's bounty, we're searching for Fumamon who has history with Maki and her former partner. A cool looking digimon even if I will never say that around Maki, and one with a grand following of people that do reconnaissance amongst other task its seems.
The team is tasked with this bounty by Maki, the hunt turned on her as Fumamon makes her a target after recognizing her. It's a close call for Maki who is lucky enough to have the Golden Dawn on her side. After being saved, Maki has the chance to get revenge on Fumamon in their baby form, she's only stopped by Tomoro who grabs her hand before making the killing blow. Good job Tomoro!
8.5/10, when will Tomoro encounter this new group?
B: Good/Solid
8. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. Ep.18
SUMMARY
After Will's impressive performance, he's given an insurmountable challenge in the form of his direct counter created by the mages of the tower to resist dwarves and their innate strength. Could Will have won? He had no way of countering them and that leads to a loss despite receiving various blessings.
And so our fateful reunion will not come yet, Will must wait another week in hopes of standing next to his beloved. Cramming studies is cool and all, but we need an answer for how to beat his counter. The advice on how to do so comes from the most unlikely ally, Julius! Anchoring magic? How and will he be able to do it? Let's hope so.
8/10, just let that man live.
C: It's ok/ Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
9. Liar Game. Ep.8
SUMMARY
Alright, as much as I love Nao, we need to seem groweth from her. Joinging the games is well and all, but trusting smooen well known for betraying mutlple groups was never going to work. With thata said, Fukunaga has set themselevs up well and took advantage of ppoor Nao.
The other players here teaming aginst Nao makes sense, she has notrhing to lse anmd everyhting to gain at this point. Fukunaga was going to reveal this wihtout the help from Nao if need be, now it seems somoene else twill have to scarfice themselves to get one up on htem.
Shinichi is running for the game room it seems, will he be allwoed to join? Should he join? I'd love to see Nao turn the tables, or at least hope she odes so by the end of the season.
8/10, let' go Nao!
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you watch for various issues.
10. Farming Life in Another World Season 2. Ep.8
SUMMARY
Were my prayers heard last episode? The dragon girls feel remorse at last, well over due. Of course, Hikaru is the most gentle and patient being to ever exist, so he gives them more praise than due teaching. A failure on his part, but no worries, you are the Rimiru of this verse my boy.
If nothing else, I'm glad there is some awareness from the girls. As they do, wee have another group doing some investigating of a weird stone. What could it be? Will it cause some issues?!!! You know it won't anime fans!
For you anime fans, we have a new addition to the family. Get your head out of the gutters, it's a cute little one today, and you know the people behind this anime fear following the nature of the source. Is that enough to satisfy you all?
4/10, it better not be
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
11. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4. Ep.7
SUMMARY
This is indefensible writing. For anyone who praises this anime, you have to stop allowing the three good episodes cloud your eyes.
What do I mean by indefensible? Is is simple. There are no stakes, there are no consequences, yet the author wishes to introduce some sort of drama despite the audience understanding nothing could ever go wrong.
This episode just proves it. Hinata goes in for the kill against someone who betrayed her, but is stopped by Rimiru. Understandable. But guess what? It doesn't matter. Nothing in this anime matters because they will just fix it somehow. YUNA LITERALLY SAYS IT! DON'T WORRY RIMURU! I CAN JUST REVIVE HER! OH HINATA CAN JUST REVIVE HER AS WELL! WE CAN PULL ANY CONVENIENCE FROM THIN AIR AS YOU PLEASE!
I mean come on guys. The girl straight up said reincarnated people have a curse that she is helpless against, but guess what? No, seriously guess! That's right! Rimuru, or the thing in his head, can fix that!!! I could not stop laughing at this scene, like what is even the point of writing any sort of conflict now.
0/10, raphael has all the answers, how boring
12. Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 5. Ep.8
SUMMARY
If you thought Kazuya couldn't get any worse, you would be dead wrong. Everything about the guy is insufferable. He overthinks everything, and it always leads to him having impure thoughts. And that's the issue, all he has about Chizuiru is impure thoughts, the guy just wants to hit!
There's nothing wrong with impure thoughts, we're guys and it is going to happen. Even so, I can't remember a single time this guy has thought of Chizurus in a wedding outfit, as the mother of his children, shoot even the dreams of them on date are rare in comparison to how often this guys thinks of Chizuru in bed, and not always with himself!
0/10, I hope Kazuya has to wait lifetimes
