S: Must Watch
Episodes I believe you must watch or are missing out on.
1. Gachiakuta. Ep.21
SUMMARY
The team is here! Although, some are in better shape than others, but their arrival gives Rudo the energy to attack the core.
Bundus arrives to stop the attack and is able to hold off the entire group of cleaners with his myriad of hands that counter each of the cleaners. We proceed into an incredible shot of Bundus vs the team with the camera moving to follow the action, and the team's movements being animated to incredible lengths; this was amazing to watch and at this point I believe this is the best animated show of the season.
The fight continues with Bundus holding the advantage until Rudo unlocks even more power hidin within him to transform his gun into nail cannon. The shot from the cannon is powerful enough to destroy Bundus's arms, but they get distracted and fail to destroy the core before the arrival of Noerde.
Zodyl says it is time to go, I wonder if that means he's leaving to another area the trash beast or leaving all together. Whichever the case, the teams has to hurry before they reach the border.
9/3/10, It's personal Riyo!
2. To Your Eternity Season 3. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Aw man, Mimori's essay hurt. She writes of the world she wished for, and one she beleived would never come to be which ended with her final, fatal decision.
Nokker Mimori does make a decent point, as much as I hate to agree with it. Even if they wish to bring Mimori back, Fushi doesn't promise to give her a better life, though Hirotoshi could. Only moments after Mimori berates Hirotoshi, we see him more than willing to do what must be done, though he is defeated with ease.
Continuing on with Nokker Mimori, she takes us on a journey through Mimori's past. Mimori's mother is absolute trash, and, becasue of the pain Mimori experinced from such aweful parenting, I am found conflcited on the Nokkers new purpose.
Nokker Mimori claims to have saved Mimori, and the Nokker taking over to absorb the stress for Mimoroi when she need it most could have saved from her a lot of pain over time. If even this wasn't enough, are they right to want to bring her back? I'm an optimist, so I will say yes, I will always root for life, and so, I'll root for Hirotoshi!
Hirotoshi's unwavering will despite recieving the beating of a lifetime was enough for Mimori to find her will to live, and in that moment he was the coolest character of the episode until Bon stepped in. But I did not expect Bon to be one upped! A Nokker girl appears and defeats Nokker Mimori. We don't get much more of her, but she had a cool weapon and revealed that there is a grand prupose, though all we get at the moment is the confirmation of this.
9/10, Live Mimori!
... that preview, oh boy!
3. Dusk Beyond the End of the World. Ep.10
SUMMARY
Alright! This is the episode I've been looking forward to the most.
So, Akira did survive! This is great news, but not aaa was great. Towasa had damage to her uterus and could no longer bear children which left her troubled as she wanted to give Akira a family. My heart shattered to see her devastated by this fact, but Akira the goat reassures her and she returns to focus on the LC project.
Towasa and Akira got engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During this time, the LC project hits some walls but Towasa's efforts lead to a breakthrough and eventual success of technology that allowed Akira to have cool Sci-Fi vision! in all seriousness, they are successful and the ease of access allowed most of the population to have access to the tech.
Despite the greatness of this, it was discovered that the femtobloods could be used to mind control pople and the leak of this information caused havoc around the world. Towasa puts in her best effort to help fix this issue, but the blame is placed on her and disaster strikes as Kazuya is killed and Towasa gravely injured in a terrorist attack.
Towasa may be one of the unluckiest people in the world. In her efforts to make things right, she creates an all powerful AI, her alpha, that goes rouge immediately with the nuclear option of eliminating the used or users.
Alpha assimilated with all the AI in the world and began a nuclear exchange that drove the world into chaos. Billions were killed as they fought back, the guilt driving Towasa to attempt suicide. Fortunately, Akira was able to stop her and help develop the outside series alongside the help of the six sages.
Now, the outside series were strong enough to defeat AP but the world was left in a terrible state. Towasa continues her efforts to restore the world and its environment, and OWEL is created to prevent the realization of AI once more. This heavy handed approach is met with protest, but OWEL stomped out every protest in the hopes of protecting the world.
It was here that Towasa disappeared, leaving Akira in charge of OWEL. The new Akira was created by his human counterpart to search for Towasa after the OG fell ill, but for some reason he never activated the android Akira.
As his purpose was never fulfilled, and may never be fulfilled given the time that has passed, Akira is left lost about his purpose. Yugure says everything he needs to hear, and more in my opinion. Asking him if she can be his reason to live was a wonderful scene, and I'm glad he is allowing himself to be who he is, not who his creator was or wanted him to be.
And with that, the episode ends with a... TIME SKIP?!!!!
I'd like to say that Towasa is an incredibly tragic character. All of her efforts were to help the world and this could have been achieved were it not for evil actors taking advantage of her good intentions and her eventaul desperate attempt to fix everything that only led to a devastating war. Still, Towasa only ever wanted to help and it breaks my heart as she fights her entire life, unable to give Akira a family, mutilated by a terrorist attack, the loss of her father in said attack, and then leaving Akira as she must atone for her actions. It breaks my heart as she always meant well, but all went wrong for her.
Now, I have a gripe, or a small issue. We know a lot now of Owel and the past, but how are the outside series kept in control? I'm not sure if they addressed how they are kept in check unlike Tera who went haywire, perhaps I just missed it. But my real issue is the time skip, if it is one as it seems. We'll have to see it in the next episode, but for now I am confused as to why it was done.
9/10, jesus Towasa is stronger than I am
4. Ranma 1/2 Season 2. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Ranma is living every mans dream and Ryoga won't stand for it. This leads to a quick scuffle between Ryoga and Uchan, and Ryoga is sent into the wall for it.
The kick wasn't the biggest damage he took hwoever, the guy is troubled by Akane's words as he is still head over heels for her. Uchan has a plan to use this in her favor however, and we get a date between Ryoga and Akane!
Akane's dad learns of Uchan and gives Ranma hell for it, this gives Uchan the chance to get Akane to go on the date with Ryoga with some help from a small pervert.
I think every misunderstanding we got this episode made it funnier. Ryoga is a nervous wreck the entire date, and it only gets worse as Ryoga's secret fiance appears! The guy refuses to let this get in way however, and he is tossed into battle aginast his fiance, none other than girl Ranma(in a disguise)!
Ryoga is no stronger than the common man, the smallest bit of kindess from a girl has him falling for another within moments. Still, Ranma's plan to ruin the date only backfires as Ryoga getes a second chance the next day.
The next date ends in disaster for Ranma again as he's revelaled to be the fake fiance. I never expceted the ending however, Ryoga's respect for Akane is admirable but the guy can't stay away for too long as he runs into her as P-Chan. I wonder if he will stay true to his word or fall to the power of love.
9/10, just get married already
A: Very Good
Good episodes, anime I would recommend to someone looking for something to watch.
5. Digimon Beatbreak. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Woah, Shademon is a different level of messed up if it can take control of others.
Before seeing more of the villains at the start, we're heading into shangri-la egg! We're following Kuonji who is part of a major family, though we don't get much more information on this before we see Reina and Tomoro breaking in with his help.
The egg is a perfect society for the successful and where any desire is fulfilled by drone delivery it seems. As nice as it is, the team is gathering information for a job at hand until they find the bounty, none other than the exp booster, goldnumemon.
The job becomes difficult as Shademon appears with Haruko and we get the reveal that Kuonji knows her. Good on Kuonji for sticking up for his partner, though this also brings back a long explored topic in digimon. Are they just tools or friends? Of course, I'm all in for the friend route which leads to the important question of which digimon I would like as a partner. Ummm, next question.
The team continues their search for the other bounties but it is Chiropmon who is the target this time. It breaks my heart to see our little bat ninja heartbroken by the fact that he is a part of the reason why Kuonji can no longer live in the egg. Kuonji doesn't care about that however, so I know he is going to give it his all to retrieve his beloved partner.
8.5/10, Geckomon is ready to party
Lilithmon, the answer is Lilithmon
6. Spy X Family Season 3. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Glad the kids are fine, but it did hurt to see Desmond sad about his family not being there. And then, it hurt even more to see Anya break down. I too am releived that she is acting her age, though it doesn't make it any easier to digest her expressing her fear.
Damian's mother also arrived, and we got an interesting view into Melinda's head which is a mix of hatred and adoration for for Damian. Calling his family wierd is an understatement, I hope we'll get more into her soon.
With the kidnapping done, the main stars from the event are getting some fanfare for their efforts in the event. Anya gets some big adoration from other students, her era has come much to Damian's displasure. As Anya loses herself in the fanfare, we somehow end with her advancing her plan to befreind Damian even more. We even get some growth from Damian before the two get into a long arguement over who is stronger.
Overall, this was a nice wind down episode that alludes to Melinda being key to Loid's mission. Melinda becomes even more intersting in this episode. It could be a split personality, or hatred for her husband that mixes her thoughts as they are now. I hope we get some more of her before the end of the season that is to come very soon.
8/10, Loid and Yor would have caused damage if Anya was hurt
7. Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!. Ep.9
SUMMARY
It's summer vacation time! In the midst of the summer heat, Alma decides to take out Alma version high schooler out for a stroll. Given the size difference from her usual body, Alma has some difficulty steeering this version of herself, but does her best to help a new friend find his house keys stollen by a cute kitty.
With that mission done, we return to a students nightmare, summer homework! Alma has been give the task of a picture diary but has little to write so far. After learning of this, Enji decides to take some time off to help gather activites for Alma, thus begins an adventurous day planned by a lovable AI child. Alma takes the crew to Hawai, back to Japan, and wanted to go to festival but is stopped by a storm. Or so we thought.
Alma won't let something as miniscule as mother nature ruin her day and launches a beam at it. I hope the government doesn't watch this, or we'll be launching weapons at all sorts of weather phenomena soon. To the festival we go before enjoying a few more days planned by Alma that takes the crew all over; although exhausting, seeing Alma resting with her souvenirs was all worth it.
8/10, I love this family
8. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2. Ep.9
SUMMARY
It's time to leave Dolan. Before that, we're cooking up sausages with best boy Sui as Fel and Dora go hunting. The two hunters bring back some crazy finds and enjoy hand made suasges for the time being. The only question here is, does Sui have a limit? Fel and Dora havce stomachs, but Sui may just stop eating when the others do which is funny in itself.
Off we go to Nijhoff! It's a smaller town than Dolan and the guards are on defensive mode once they see Fel and the others, but Dolan's gold card gets him in with ease. Mukoda is here to take on some quest, and he'll also be renting a house during his stay in town. Shout out to all Isekai pretty guild reception girls, they're my favorite genre.
Mukoda ends up renting a mansion, and it leaves the guy stunned by it's sheer size. If this was the smallest then the others must be castles! That matters not however, Mukoda needs to get comfortable in the new home and does it the best way, cooking curry!
Fel reminds me of my old dog, always hesistant to get a bath but enjoys the process the most. The rest of the crew gets to bathe soon after Fel and we end the night on a giant bed before going on missions the next morning.
Sui and Mukoda team up to takle on the evil plants. Sui hits them with the gattling gun, but the most effective weapon turns out to be some man made herbicide that bruns the enmey with ease. Even the big one isn't strong enough to counter the innovations of crazy scientists and the work is done before sundown.
8.2/10, Sui big now
B: Good/Solid
C: It's ok/ Fine
These are shows I happen to pick up but struggle to finish. Still watchable, but not without a good break in between episodes.
9. Watari-Kun's ****** Is about to Collapse.. Ep.22
SUMMARY
It's time for every students fear, planning for the future. Naoto is unsure of his original plan, wondering if he should go to college. Tamayo supports him in this venture, though I wonder why he thinks he is a burden for her. She may be distant, even mean at times, but I've never gotten the idea that she doesn't like them being there.
After his talk with Tamayo, lucky Naoto gets a visit from Satsuki and the guy cooks for her. You know what they say, the way to every woman's heart is through her stomach, or something like that. Naoto is a good cook so the guy has the edge here, but Sasuki visited from far just to see his face, so I think the two are progressing well.
The visit gets hot real qiuck as Satsuki uses sexy jutsu to try and get a kiss from Naoto. The guy is sharp however, immediately asking if something happened as she is acting wierd and doing his best to ressaure her.
After Satsuki calms down, we learn that she is no longer taking over the family inn due to her brother getting married. I wish Naoto had done more here to help her, but I've got no time to gripe about this as I love Satsuki's speech here. We get great insight into her mental and the reasoning behind her avoiding the kiss.
Although Naoto didn't anything in the moment, the guy heads to the family inn soon after Satsuki leaves. Turns out it was a misunderstanding, but Naoto is here for more than just the inn. He needs advice on how to help Satsuki and gets more than he could ever expect, a road trip!
That's all for today, Naoto is ready to do what he must! 7/10, I'm getting some good feels here
10. Hands Off: Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Welcome back gooners. We return to Kouyo receiving a massage from best girl. She is a natural at it, but I'm too busy laughing as that is the closest we'll ever get to a position scene in Ecchi for some time so enjoy it gooners.
No time to calm down as the duo transitions to a table massage with Kouyo giving some more instruction. Koyou switches positions here to teach Miyuki the general process of a massage. After this, they're back to their original spots where Miyuki gets a stellar score once more, while also giving us some questionable quotes.
Kouyo won't let Miyuki outshine him just yet, after she is done he gets to work to find where stress is stored but it turns out the genetic freak doesn't have any stored after all. Curse you for not giving her a massage Kouyo!
7/10, Miyuki end game or I riot!
11. Tales of Wedding Rings Season 2. Ep.9
SUMMARY
Oh man I forgot what was about to happen, have we even held hands yet?! Alright, let's get to the nasty and chase this, they just touched hands. THEY JUST TOUCHED HANDS! Calm down sports fans, we just have to handle the bad guys before the happy couple does the do. And yes, I can confirm, at long last, it finally happens.
As we have known for ages, doing the do causes their power to expand. The two only stop when Krystal remembers that the others may be worried about them, we know this lame dood Satou doesn't give a flying fuck about the other girls, so good on her for remembering there are others with them.
Before cheering, we have to stop the once more. We're really going the single route? This guy just challenged the abyss king believing this is enough power to take down the thing. The only thing that will make these buffons realize that they are sandbagging themselves is a brutal defeat, and I do hope a brutal defeat happens by the end of the season. Going two seasons with such little progression should be criminal and this anime is a habitual offender.
That is the issue with how this anime has gone along with baiting the audience for so long while stressing the power they need. We finally have some progression and it is difficult to be happy or even supportive. It's only frustration as it the audience now believes there should be more at this point, and I agree after 20 episodes of this anime.
6/10, they did it whatever
D: Do Not Recommend
Shows I do not recommend you watch for various issues.
12. One-Punch Man Season 3. Ep.8
SUMMARY
we return to another week of this torture... wait, that lighting the torches the scene nice. WAIT, THE START OF THE FIGHT HAS SOME ACTUIAL MOVEMENT! WAIT THE FIGHT HAS ACTUTAL ANIMATION!
Ok ok, I'll give them credit for the flashy flash fight, but the animation was just good at best. We've seen some awesome stuff like that from Gachiakuta, but hey, this was a surprise to the say the least. Now, we must make this clear, this episode does not excuse the rest of the season being a disaster; we're not even sure if this will remain consistent after all. And, even it does, it's still not an excuse unless they somehow pop out Ufotable levels of animation upon which we will need to have another discussion.
Now then. Flashy's fight was good. Facing people from the same village as himself, the trio of ninjas display the teaching from the village to great effect. Flashy let them have fun but I doubt he was ever in any trouble as he was able to end the fight in a single strike.
With the end of that fight we are sent to Emperor's side as he searches for the hostages. He finds Metal knight and scans their brain for information before bumping into his enemy, phoenix man! I guess there are no emperor fans at the studio as his fight is back to the usual quality, or lack there of. Still, the guy won't let this stop him as he find the hostage and keeps beating monsters with ease like a true S class hero.
6/10, sorry Emperor, I still think you're cool
F: Bad
Anime with glaring issues that make them not only difficult to watch, but the watcher angry at times.
