SUMMARY

Man what a mystery added, the Nokkers are still around! Furthermore, Izumi can't return to life even with Fushi's power. This could be in their favor as Izumi could search for Nokkers in her current form, though I really hope we don't lose too many people because of them.

It's pretty funny to see Fushi and Tonari in school. Fushi is popular because of his hair color, lucky guy has got the foreigner buff. Fushi has always been blunt, so I'm glad he isn't holding back against Mizuha as I agree that Izumi would be hurt by her words.

I guess Bon is going to be a star of another season, he's too good of a character. Him getting a job as the janitor is awesome, we'll need him to keep watch on Fushi who just shows off his powers to anyone at this point.

As Bon and Izumi suspected, Nokkers have taken over other people. Last season this would have been Fushi's focus, but he's gotten himself into a much bigger dilemma this season; that's right, relationship problems.

Mizuha's manipulative nature comes out during her time alone with Fushi. It is something to watch out for, but Fushi's thoughts on love made me sad. I can see why he believes that it would become an irrelevant part of his life, but I beg to differ. Even for his long life, the years that he is in love and with someone could still be something he cherishes, and I do hope he gets to experience it. Of course, the question to be asked is who he should be with; I fear what Mizuha would be like, but she would be endlessly devoted to Fushi. Is that a good thing? I can't say, I still have Hayase nightmares.

9/10, TonarXFushi?

Side note, the Black one's disappearance can't be a coincidence, I'm sure there is something big there, I just can't prove it

SUMMARY

Ooooh, we 're getting Zanka backstory in this episode.

Zanka comes from noble blood and studied to be part of a group known as hell's guard. It's interesting to see them be trained to defend against givers who commit crimes, we can see just how strong some can be so I'm glad the author created something like this.

With that said, Zanka did all he could to live up to the pressure he was under. Even so, real talent was too much for him to handle despite his training.

Losing to Hyo left Zanka outraged. We get to see their fight, which has great animation, where she overwhelms Zanka with endless powerful attacks. Although outraged, I like that he doesn't blame Hyo, instead believing that he must put in even more effort than he does.

Moving onward to a weapon selection, I like that Zanka just chose his staff trying to go against the grain. Even if it isn't the most special moment, it still becomes something he cherishes. As Enji said, he was still holding onto the staff three days.

We return to current day where we see Jabber dancing on Zanka. Diabolical. Guy isn't so bad however, he even shares a laugh with Zanka whose under the effects of Jabber's plosion still. At best, Zanka will recover and put up a fight, but that is all we see for now.

Sike! We get one final great scene with what could be how they create trash beasts. It's not a pretty sight and Jabber alludes to the fact that people are offered to it. We need our boy Zanka to recover, but at this point it may only happen with interference.

9/10, Zanka on fraud watch

SUMMARY

I love the animation of the race announcer, the sound effects used for his silly movements were just as good.

In this episode we have Kunou dealing with greatest dilemma every man must face, choosing between two pretty girls. Just like him, we men are delusional enough to believe we have a choice, but he has left Ranma and Akane with the power to choose who will be his lucky bride.

Of course, Akane and Ranma are off doing something they would much rather do. Today, they are entered in a delivery girl race against Shampoo and other girls. I thought this was a great and fun idea, but the delivery house they must arrive at being Kunou's house is comedy gold.

Ranma vs Shampoo is great as always as both are superhuman. Shampoo does try and use some dirty tactics which ends in a fantastic scene of Ranma jumping to save his ramen, and a three way tie!

As much as I love every girl in this series - seriously, they are so much to watch - Kunou was too funny this episode. From his delusional dreams of girls he is in love with, to him just falling head first from high in the sky while being oblivious to what is going; what a great time. The tiebreaker will be decided by having him finish one of the plates delivered, which ensues a new battle filled with dirty tricks and transformations.

To finish off, we have Kunou vs boy Ranma for about 10 seconds before girl Ranma returns. Despite the ramen being ruined, Kunou eats girl Ranma's ramen with great joy like a true gentleman would.

9.2/10, this is up there for the strongest episode

SUMMARY

Man do I love Geckommon, guy loves food just as much as I do.

Seeing Pandamon was a blast from the past for me, though it was surprising to see a digimon just out and about as he was. Geckomon revealing himself during Pandamon's battle led to him getting a delicious reward, but him and Tomoro are pulled into an unskipable cutscene because of it.

I like the explored relationship between human and digimon in this episode. I can't say if they have ever done a father son relatiosnhip before, but I like the topic hit in this episode is novel. In short, it's the telling of a father and child who are unlike each other, yet somehow form a wonderful duo. I'm sure that Pandamon was just honor bound at one point, but I like to think he stays because he loves the people around him.

Geckomn and Pandamon being siblings now was also great to see. Not only do siblings share, but they fight together as well. I laughed a little too hard at Geckomon being launched like a missile, but he makes for a good duo with Pandamon as they defeat their opponent with ease.

8.4/10, the battle's not over yet

Is it wrong to call an android beautiful?

On today's episode we have a date between Akira and Yuugure. Amoru sets off with Yokurata and Haniyama where it is revealed that the inn could be torn down. Haniyama is working to stop this, though she may need help from the others in time.

Now for the date! It's cute to see Yuugure in her Yukata and all shy! Akira did make some plans for the date, starting off with a stroll and some food before heading to the third strike crater. The journey there is through a beautiful forest where we get a sweet scene of Yuugure thanking Akira. Also, calm down feet enjoyers.

Akira does call Yuugure pretty here, a first I believe and what may be a hint that they do end up in a relationship. During this, we get some more scenes of Amoru expressing that she is jealous and uneasy of the date without her. Love is a selfish thing, so while it would make things uncomfortable for the other two, I am a firm believer that communication is key.

Flashback time! We're once again met with the question of love for an android where Towasa hits us with a killer line, 'emotions aren't purely reliant on physical form.' Fire. As Yuugure remembers this, is she the A.I from Towasa's little helper? Her A.I could also be built upon it but I like the mystery added here.

At the third strike crater, we learn that Yuugure is an outside series. I'm sorry, I thought that was obvious. Yuugure is insecure about this which is a nice touch that makes her more human in my opinion; Akira's answer was everything she needed to hear in the moment so good on him.

With Yuugure's confession of love and the scenes at the inn, I must say, stop that! No more love allowed! Yokurata is joining the team after we leave the team, so I hope he'll stop all this loving. For now, he's just a guide in Sendai which he is familiar with.

We're breaking into a library next episode, I hope we find some books the team is looking for.

8.5/10, Akira you useless bum!

SUMMARY

More Yor!!!!! I think Yor is underused, though her moments in the movie were great.

On today's episode, Yor is on a a mission to get snacks for Anya. Despite being a deadly assassin, she is shy by nature so its always funny seeing her get scared by basic interaction. Me too, Yor, me too.

Yor's own skills are her greatest enemy as she ends up in a volleyball uniform because of it; a tragedy for her, a blessing for us. We've seen what her strength can do when playing tennis so it was no surprise to see her strength come out here as well.

While Yor is underused, I like the dilemma that is explored with her. Normalcy is a fallacy in my opinion, but her wishing to be more normal after having any sense of it stripped away from her is endareing and what I wish for her in the future. I like the advice that is given to her by her new friends, but that is not the surprise here.

Yor meeting Damian's mother is great, I like the change in Melinda's expression when her identity is revealed. Her true character does come out at times during the conversation, though I believe there is still more to her than what she is letting on at the moment.

Anya and Loid have some great perspectives about Yor's day. Loid wonders how he can use this to his advantage, or if he can for that matter. On the other hand, Anya now worries she may be thrown away if plan C works out.

While I wish the best for Anya, did they just plant seeds for a confrontation between Yor and Loid? That has always been my biggest question for this anime. WILL THEY DO IT?! WILL THEY SEND YOR AFTER LOID?

I used to be the biggest naysayer, believing that SpyXFamily played everything safe to keep a broad appeal, but after Loid's backstory I think it may be possible for us to see it. I think it would be the climax of the series, and what decides what will happen to the family. Boy do I hope they do it, and somehow keep them all together.

8.4/10, Yor is so pretty

SUMMARY

Fah Fah Fah! That opening is so cute man.

Enji and Alma reciting Sutra was funny. I find it great that he hugs Alma like a stuffed animal when he gets scared, that may not work with Suzume however. I'm glad that even geniuses have irrational fears, and even better yet, the pettiness of a grade schooler, I feel represented. By the fear and pettiness that is.

Alma revealed herself a little easily to the mangaka, this led onto a new mission in helping said mangaka with her work. From the start, I thought we would go onto ask that question of A.I art and its place in the world and whether it should be allowed. It is an interesting topic that I often wonder about when writing. I disagree with the mangaka's approach here, though I believe A.I is a great tool to gather information with ease, you can only write what you know after all. Using A.I has helped me gather information about a lot things I like to include in my writing like culture, clothing, and best of all, food. So, while I believe everyone should write and draw to the best of their ability, Using A.I can be a resource when used well, especially if they're as cute as Alma.

To finish the episode we have an adventure between Alma and Makina as they up on the moon. Alma wants to grow to be strong and destroy the enemies of her parents. It's a nice goal, but I doubt her parents would want that. It's great see what the girls think about their parents, and how much the parents care for their daughters.

I never expected the girls to save an astronaut, seeing two little girl just out and about in outer space must have been a crazy moment. The girls even made a friend in space who helps them get back home via meteoric travel it seems. All's well that ends well, but I think having a moon rock can get you locked up for a long time!

8.2/10, Alma for must protect

Adventure Comedy Fantasy Gourmet

SUMMARY

The familiar trio made quick work of an instant die snake, I'm just as traumatized as Makoda in this case.

This anime proves that there is never a bad time for a snack, even in the midst of a dungeon filled with giant monsters. After enjoying their meal, Makoda encounters a group in need of help. He offers a potion that saves a life, though it brings a troublesome issue with it. That's right, social interaction! Oh, and money, he also got some money for it.

The group informs Makoda of three Spriggan up ahead. Fel doesn't fear it of course, it'll be another warn up for him until he faces something that can give somewhat of a challenge, should that happen. Unfortunately, I don't think the Spriggan were even good enough for a warm up as they were dealt with in seconds.

We head deeper into the dungeon after Makoda learns of his own weaknesses, reaching floor 29 that looks like a desert. We may have met the weakness of the familiars: heat. The whole team needed some rejuvenation, Sui refilled himself with some water before devouring some ice cream.

The final floor sends the group straight to the boss, a behemoth. Sui and Dora attempt a preemptive strike but are repelled with ease. With pointers from Fel, the group uses the best tactic available: all out force. Fel put in some effort this time around, though the victory is a well earned combined effort.

9. Watari-Kun's ****** Is about to Collapse.. Ep.18

Comedy Romance Drama

SUMMARY

I have to disagree with Watari. It's not discarding. Making the choice for who he believes will be better for him only means that. He can still be friends with the other person, or even just support them.

I'm glad that Watari feels guilt form his decision. It was the worst one he could have made and I still disagree with his reasoning. He doesn't have much time to ponder his decisions as Watari is sent off to recover his father's laptop in his old home. It's here that we meet Rika, perhaps the new best girl of the series.

The item Rika carried wasn't the computer which leads to Watari ending up at a hostess bar. Yes, you read that right, he's at a hostess bar. He may be peaking as we speak.

At the bar, best girl Rika gives Watari much needed advice. He is scared to make the decision because he understands that it will hurt the other. It's interesting that she had a similar case to Watari back in her day; the quick backstory we got of Watari's dad made me like him a lot more than Watari.

Once again, this anime surprises me by the actual good advice it gives. 'People don't have to be chained down by their decisions.' is such great advice that I wish they would spend a little more time on Watari's and Satsuki's decisions.

Near the final third of the episode, we learn that Satsuki has left, and that Watari made his decision long ago. He is selfish for hoping that Satsuki would understand, and now he must face the consequences for doing so. But we're getting a time skip before then!

Will Watari be able to apologize and make up with Satsuki? What happened to Ishihara this episode? Rika route possible?

Skip this part if you don't want spoilers. Having gone in and read the manga, I have to say that we are steamrolling through chapters at such a fast rate that we may get a full adaptation by the end of the series. All things considered, the pacing is not too bad but I'm still surprised as it is about 90 chapters.

Izumi best girl!

Izumi is troubled by the expectations of those around her. A relatable issue for those who don't want to disappoint others.

Kouyo is here to help Izumi relax, though I have my eyes on him with this technique he's using. I have many questions about the technique, but I can't question the results. Izumi is taken into a world of relaxation, I hope, and her mind cleared by the end of it. Kouyo even gets permissions to do it again, good for him.

Outside the locker room, he's met by a new entry into the roster known only as Vice-Principal. She's just as suspicious of Kouyo as I am, but the guy has unreal levels of self control.

Izumi does win the meet, good for her. Late into the night, we see the true levels of Izumi's gooner mentality. Good for us, she's part of the team and we're happy to have her.

SUMMARY

Good on Krystal for understanding that she is holding the others back. The girls all care for him and want to help him, but I'll be disappointed if none take this opportunity to take Satou all the way. Especially Nefritis, I can see her taking the chance soon.

Now, we do take the easy way out of the cave which is a severe disappointment. Not only have the relationships with most girls remained the same, we're doing the relationship between the girls to empower the ring. I'm all for Yuri, but not when the story bashes the importance of the relationship with the guy every episode!

Interesting to see the hesitation to help Satou from the empire given that the ring is cursed. Satou will need to find a way to convince them to help, but he'll only have a few of the girls at his side as Krystal, Nefritis, and Granart are splitting away to improve their magic. Does this mean the other two will do something with Saotu at last? Probably not.

Now that we are going the Yuri route, I expect nothing will happen between Satou and a girl other than Krystal. That being said, what is the point of the other girls being there? They're good for the audience to look at but I can't see them being of pivotal use at this point. I am open to being wrong, I would love to be, but I doubt I will be.

SUMMARY

Alright, that still art of Garou was nice, but that's all I'm giving them here.

Let's see, we continue to move closer to the monsterhideout this episode, though Silverfang and Genos are suspected to be traitors so they are left out of the operation for now. I agree that al heroes must accept the fat they could die on the job, but sending them off to their death in such a dangerous mission is unfair.

None of that really matters however, what is important here is the hot pot at Saitama's place where no one has left yet. This scene is meant to be comedic, but man does it make me feel even worse. We're so low on budget, or fucks to be given, that half the shots here have no background. That's right, just straight black backgrounds. Don't try and cope and say it is an artistic choice, we all know it isn't.

Now that I think about it, a lot of scenes don't have backgrounds in them in this season.

Ahhh, the S rank meeting had Tornado in her low poly form which is always funny. Apart from that, we have the plan set with a group set to infiltrate and others waiting for any monsters that attempt to escape during battle.

I like that Tornado cares so much for Blizzard, though she can be frightening because of it. The only other good scene here is Garou showing up to kill Mr. Blade hands, he may be stronger than ever before now.

Despite Garou's aura, this episode felt like an unreal step back.

5/10, I only watch this for Blizzard at this point
